About you: 

SmartAsset is looking for a Senior Manager, Programmatic to help oversee the strategy and execution of programmatic and direct-sold campaigns. These campaigns will drive meaningful growth to SmartAdvisor, our financial advisor lead generation business, where we match consumers with financial advisors in their area. You'll bring expertise in managing large direct response digital campaigns to hit profitability targets. A successful candidate should be a direct response marketing expert in programmatic advertising, highly analytical, and committed to making data-driven decisions. This position reports to the VP of Digital Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Campaign management: own and scale ROI-positive lead generation campaigns through programmatic and direct-sold opportunities, particularly on native and display
  • Strategy: guide SmartAsset’s programmatic approach and testing roadmap with your expert-level ad tech knowledge of DSPs, DMPs, 1st/3rd party data segmentation, etc.
  • Analysis: own analysis of campaign performance and govern a self-directed testing schedule based on learnings
  • Oversee display and programmatic media buying to generate leads for financial advisor matching platform
  • Manage profitable campaigns across a variety of display opportunities
  • Source ad tech providers and new marketing platforms
  • Conduct A/B tests and execute optimization strategies to improve performance
  • Report results regularly to management using direct response marketing KPIs
  • Work closely with Product and Design team to improve profitability

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3-6+ years of direct response digital marketing experience, driving profitable acquisition, exceeding ROI goals and contributing to revenue growth (lead generation strongly preferred)
  • Proficient with Google Campaign Manager & DV360
  • Expert-level understanding of programmatic marketing and associated ad tech
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills, including use of Excel
  • Technically adept with a pulse on trends and innovations within adtech
  • Ability to partner effectively with product management, ad operations and engineering
  • Ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities under tight deadlines
