Compass is looking for a Senior Advertising Manager. You will own the National media strategy and manage the ad planning and buying process across the country. You will define the secret sauce for Compass campaign across print, digital, and out-of-home channels in order to deliver Compass a competitive advantage vs our competitors while building a system to leverage this competitive advantage Globally.

You will partner closely with the Director of Performance Marketing to assure that all of the campaigns we are running are aligned with our strategy and tracking back to deliver the best possible ROI. You will lead a team of Assistant Managers, Associates and Analysts to help define and execute the strategy across our growing network of 100+ offices. You will report monthly and quarterly on performance and deliver data and insights that help our team improve and drive the ROI of all Compass marketing.

You will work closely with the Expansion and Business Development teams to determine the most impactful launch strategies for new markets. You will build unique plans and budgets for each major market and submarket and track the performance for ongoing improvement and iteration. As a key partner to the creative studio you will collaborate with the Creative Directors and Production team to assure that our brand is brought to life in the most consistent and scalable way that adheres to our principles.

You will partner closely with an accomplished network of Regional Marketing Leaders, GMs and Sales Managers to ensure that all of our offices are providing insights to help inform our National strategy and provide the optimal solution for future growth and service delivery.

  • Build a world class team and provide leadership and management to drive all paid media activities, promotions (store) and experiences that drive revenue through agent participation.
  • Ongoing management of your team to maximize performance, including local team members with dotted line and build systems, meeting structures and communication process to assure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and execute marketing plan for National and International expansion in partnership with Expansion team and Business Development Directors to include thinking for maximum effectiveness and scalability of advertising.
  • Lead monthly national advertising to inform all regional marketing leads of team priorities and where to focus efforts.
  • Oversee the National marketing team budgets from bottom up for all offices, across all channels. Work closely with all Regional leaders to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of every dollar spent by the global marketing team.
  • Manage unforeseen requests and determine appropriate shift in spend.
  • Manage the monthly actualization of the National marketing budget, working with the finance team to report on a quarterly basis to ensure business objectives and goals.
  • Determine appropriate distribution plan and buy-in opportunities for agents into the internal publication Compass Quarterly
  • Develop strategy, process, and template for all regions to track success metrics.
  • Oversee the centralization of reporting around all media activities on a monthly basis and manage a team to deliver consistent reports for local regions that deliver insights on how markets are performing and make recommendations on innovations and spend.
  • Manage the Media analyst to review the Compass Boutique offering, price points, and product offering.
  • Collaborate with Creative Directors to assure the brand direction and strategy is communicated clearly across all campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with the National Marketing Director and Performance Marketing lead to maximize the spend of all marketing done by Compass agents and track in more detail where they are spending their money in order to make recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with the National Director of Marketing and National Regional Marketing leaders to develop, rollout and track the success of programs that drive agent buy-in and reduce corporate spend requirements to drive Compass brand reach
  • Develop the entire yearly brand plan and budget with the Head of Marketing, crafting a cohesive 360 strategy that allocates the budgets across all channels to drive OKRs.
  • Measure success and return on investment and use findings to improve and iterate on process for entire department related to Brand spend.
  • Analyze all marketing "products" (ex. Compass Quarterly) that delivery revenue and create quarterly reports that track their effectiveness towards revenue generation and profitability, while delivering recommendations on improvement and future plans.
  • Put systems in place to measure brand lift and identify new methodologies either through third party companies or through a combination of National surveys, focus groups and other measurements to determine the “brand awareness” metrics for Compass in existing and new markets.
