About the Role:

Reporting to the VP of Brand, Comms & Retention, the Sr. Manager of Retention Marketing will own the strategy, planning and execution for SimpleHealth’s company wide retention KPI’s and milestones. In this role the individual will drive the SimpleHealth’s business objectives forward within the marketing organization and cross functionally as SimpleHealths Retention Business owner. They will work closely with the VP of Brand, Comms & Retention to ensure all areas of retention are being addressed and planned, working cross functionally with the following departments, Product/Dev, Operations, Finance and Data. The Sr. Manager of Retention Marketing will lead end-to-end in the following areas: 

Retention Strategy: 

  • Develop a deep understanding of the patient experience process from acquisition to fulfillment, understanding SimpleHealth’s wins and opportunities surrounding churn and retention. 
  • Develop a data driven retention road map that will positively impact EBITDA and revenue targets.
  • Inclusive in the retention roadmap, explore and determine successful pathways for SimpleHealth loyalty program in creating ambassadors and fans of the brand. 
  • Develop insights and actionable items that can influence patient behaviors throughout their lifetime to retain their relationship with SimpleHealth. 
  • Set the calendar and pacing surrounding the work of retention optimization and the opportunities that need to be addressed.
  • A cross-functional leader in the organization to ensure various departments are delivering on holistic company Retention goals, this role is the end-to-end lead for retention at SimpleHealth and will lead product/dev, operations and finance works surrounding the improvement of retention.
  • Work closely with Finance and Business Intelligence to deliver the forecast on retention and LTV along with data rigor measurements along the pathway of success 
  • Drive and monitor A/B and multivariate experiments to optimize key performance metrics around engagement, retention, and LTV. Analyze findings and present recommendations.

Retention Marketing: 

  • Oversee all CRM Marketing channels, Email, SMS, push and other marketing campaigns. 
  • Partner with VP of Brand, Comms and Retention and Director of Growth to ensure the CRM efforts are aligned with brand campaigns and timing. 
  • A thought partner and leader to the email marketing team, ensuring the teams success and overall continuing to optimize and grow.

Essential Functions:

  • Work cross functionally with various departments within SimpleHealth as the owner of a cross functionally company initiative.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers to translate needs and opportunities into relevant product initiatives
  • Manage a high performing team of marketers and ensure their continued development and growth within the organization
  • Delegate and report on work streams at the executive leadership level and amongst peer and junior team members. 
  • Mentor and lead across the marketing business group. 
  • Fill in for VP, where necessary and appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in economics, mathematics, quantitative discipline)
  • Experience in subscription based marketing
  • 5-7 years experience in retention, engagement and loyalty.
  • 5 years financial management and forecasting experience
  • Fluency with Looker (and ideally SQL), Excel proficiency, 
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, either formally through reporting or informally through influence
  • Experience working with brand and growth marketing
  • Experience in building and scaling a team for growth
  • Business acumen and leadership presence
