SEO Specialist Lead - LATAM
A Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist Lead analyzes, reviews and implements changes to websites so they are optimized for search engines. This means maximizing the traffic to a site by improving page rank within search engines. They also test and implement testing various search engine marketing techniques, web site layouts and advertising for search engine optimization. They also know the importance of internal links and the ability to problem-solve comes in handy when trying to find the best locations and the best approach to internal links.
An SEO Specialist will analyze websites for improvements, have an in-depth knowledge of keyword research, understand SEO copywriting. They are marketing professionals who use research and analysis to improve a website's ranking on search engines like Google. They find the most popular and relevant keywords used in search engine queries and insert them into websites, helping search engines find those sites and display them to web users. SEO specialists have a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as marketing or information technology.
Moreover, the SEO Specialist Lead, apart from knowing and practicing these SEO principles and techniques, is a seasoned practitioner with relevant leadership prowess that is able to lead and manage a team of like minded specialists to cover a greater range and volume of websites to analyze optimize. He/she must have team management experience of at least 3 years to execute the necessary tasks and also drive the performance of his/her assigned team.
Responsibilities for SEO Specialist Lead is to drive a multiple member team to:
- Develop optimization strategies that increase the company's search engine results rankings
- Research SEO keywords to use throughout the company's website and marketing materials
- Set measurable goals that demonstrate improvement in marketing efforts
- Monitor daily performance metrics to understand SEO strategy performance
- Efficiently communicate with other marketing professionals to align goals
- Collaborate with others within the marketing department to manage SEO strategy
- Write compelling and high-quality website content, including blog posts and page descriptions
- Update content and website links for maximum optimization and search engine rankings
Qualifications for SEO Specialist Lead:
- 2 - 3 years of experience in successfully developing and executing SEO campaigns
- Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
- Experience with SEO industry programs, such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
- Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools
- Able to complete competitive analysis of other companies within the industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (email, phone, etc.)
- Comfortable analyzing high volumes of data on a daily basis
- Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems
- Experience with other aspects of marketing, such as customer growth and promotion, is a plus
- Ability to lead a team of at least 3 to 5 members and drive tasks and productivity
