About the team

Brand Activation is responsible for commercial focused social strategy, content amplification, and audience development for VICE's brand partnerships. In addition, the team acts as an internal and client-facing resource for platform thought leadership and expertise in activating VICE's social channels with brand partners.

Roles & responsibilities

• Provide critical thinking and framework planning for how VICE will activate paid social for our brand partner programs.
• Execution of paid social & content distribution efforts for the commercial team within VICE Media
• Work and collaborate with internal departments (Media Strategy, Commerical Studio, Creative, Publishers, Sales, etc.) to provide paid media expertise and be a leader with a point of view within the social space.
• Carry out daily optimizations, ensure campaigns are pacing properly, and maintain holistic budget management across multiple campaigns and initiatives.
• This role is very focused on paid social implementation and management across the major platforms, but knowledge within the organic social space is significant as well.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of paid social / biddable media experience at an agency, publisher or related media business
• Fluent understanding of Facebook Power Editor, Twitter Ads, Google Adwords, etc...
• Expertise in "media math"
• High comfortability with handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills -- a high aptitude for managing expectations
• Solutions Oriented -- propensity to take on matters rather than dwell on the problem at hand
• Authenticity, Integrity & Resiliency -- takes pride and accountability for the work and possesses the ability to defend the work recommended
• Media Confidence -- articulating rationale for thinking both internally and to clients
