Social Media Engagement Coordinator
About the Role
As the social & community lead, you'll be the person at MoneyLion that is the "voice of the customer". You will be in charge of building and scaling an engaged community of creators and fans across our platform. It will be up to you to convert that interest into a vibrant community across our mobile app, web tools, forum, Discord, and social channels. You will work with the social media team to grow large communities and execute top-tier social media initiatives.
This role will be a hybrid role based in NYC with 3+ days in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Strategy: We want to bring the business of storytelling to the masses. Help us expand our market reach to make it happen by growing our online presence significantly. Elevate our channels, expand our user base and invite discourse to up engagement levels.
- Community Expansion: We have thousands of creators and even more fans. Forge relationships, create connections, moderate dialogue and build a multidimensional community free of gatekeepers.
- Content Creation: Bring stories to life. Shine a spotlight across all social platforms, spotlighting what makes us unique and using this to drive successful campaigns.
- You'll lead social initiatives. You'll build and lead our social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other websites.
- You'll create. You'll create or work with a partner to create native content for social media channels.
- You'll organize. You'll develop systems for other team members to utilize and benefit from social media.
- You'll measure. You'll develop and track measures of success for social media.
About You
- Minimum 2 years of experience in social media, preferably with engagement and brand tone of voice.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, Sports Management or a similar relevant field
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure
- Language: Advanced knowledge of social media platforms, their communities, and initiatives that promote growth in the space (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube).
- Intuition: Knows what content performs best and how to build it at scale.
- Experience: Must have built or scaled a community across multiple platforms.
- Bonus: Advanced graphic design capabilities and/or fluency in Photoshop.
