We're looking for a creative social media expert to own and build our social media community globally, by creating impactful and engaging visual content and posts. Based in the seaport district in New York City, this role will join the global marketing team and own social media across all channels, with a key focus on LinkedIn.
The ideal candidate lives on LinkedIn and will have demonstrated success building a following, and knows how to organically package Worksome. Journalism or media production experience is preferred, to create for digital-native audiences and to be consumed by those who are swiping and scrolling through feeds.
You will have experience editing social video and creating visual assets, and understand what types of content audiences find deeply engaging and shareable. The role is best suited for a creative thinker who speaks the language of the social platforms and knows how to package meaty topics for a social audience. You'll love to see engagement and know how to track analytics.
You'll join our growing US team in NYC including the Global VP of Marketing, VP of Sales and VP of Operations, and work closely with our global teams across the HQ office in Copenhagen and our London office. You'll be an early, core-member of the marketing team and in it for the long-run, ready to grow the program and play a key role in bringing Worksome into a world-leading position in the future of workspace.
About the job

  • Assist in creating and executing a community building strategy on key social channels with your in-depth understanding of best practices, trends, features and engagement tactics
  • Maintain a detailed and organized publishing calendar that stays up to date with larger brand thematics and current social trends.
  • Implement strategies and tactics to encourage social conversations, interact and build social engagement through daily community management on LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Research new opportunities for media placement and partnership opportunities
  • Implement social media strategies and tactics that extend to the website
  • Collaborate closely with the entire marketing team to execute on campaigns
  • You'll have lots of freedom and flexibility to shape your role and develop your skills on the fly
  • Generate ideas for copy, promotional graphics, and video
  • You'll cater to two segments: 1) potential new clients (companies) and 2) freelancers and consultants.


About you

  • Content or media production background, preferably at an agency or global brand
  • Excellent short form copywriting skills
  • Experienced in producing social media visual content
  • Knack for community building through educating at scale
  • Experience in utilizing social media tools including social listening and analytics
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • You take ownership of projects and don't need someone to tell you what to do
  • You're curious by nature and have a willingness to learn and collaborate
