Social Media Manager at Newsela
The Social Media Manager will lead the development and delivery of an organic social media strategy to engage Newsela’s 25M+ registered users and target buyers, in service of Newsela’s brand performance and brand association goals. You will also be responsible for delivery a social media governance model across Newsela, execution of organic social programs, measuring and optimizing social media performance metrics, and developing a social selling program.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
This is a truly unique opportunity for an experienced marketing or communications professional to join a company with a massive, loyal user base, a business model that publishes highly engaging content every day, and a completely under-exploited opportunity in social media. It’s a social media enthusiast’s dream, and a key part of the brand perception shift that forms part of our 2020 strategy. Every day, you’ll be interacting with Newsela employees, administrators, and millions of teachers that are passionate about Newsela’s mission to transform education for every learner.
Why We’ll Love You:
You are a passionate, experienced professional that’s inspired by our mission and come with a track record of at least 5 years developing and executing successful organic social media programs. You can straddle strategy and execution, and understand how to connect and optimize social media metrics against business priorities. You have successfully managed a social media management platform to post, track, listen, measure, and optimize social media performance (bonus points if you’ve actually implemented a new social management platform or process). You’ve developed social media governance programs that strike the right balance between controlling for quality and risk, and not stifling creativity or enthusiasm of teams that contribute to a brand’s social media content.
