THE ROLE

Mack Weldon is looking for a Social Media Strategist to join the marketing team. This role will be creative, strategic and tactical, working directly alongside the performance team to create a cohesive brand presence for all new and existing customers. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Social Media Strategy: Develop content calendars and execute cross-channel social strategy focused on building brand awareness, fostering community, increasing engagement and driving growth. 
  • Community Management: Work with the Customer Service team to ensure all channels are upholding the tone and voice of the brand when communicating with comments, DMs etc. 
  • Insights and Recommendations: Analyze performance metrics for social campaigns and make strategic recommendations on how to optimize social content. Be the voice of the Mack Weldon social community to share insights and feedback with internal teams.  
  • Trend-watching: Stay on top of emerging social trends/channels — analyzing and presenting opportunities for growth. Build and maintain an understanding of competitor and industry trends that are relevant/important when speaking to the Mack Weldon customer and incorporate this knowledge into timely, editorial content based off of popular events, holiday moments, pop-culture and more. 
  • Influencer Management: Work with the acquisition team to identify influencers, celebrities, and tastemakers for content and relationship-building opportunities throughout the year. Manage such relationships and incorporate them into our overall social media marketing strategy where appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years of social media content creation and community management experience at an agency or in-house brand (preferably D2C)
  • Extensive knowledge of social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, Twitter, YouTube etc.) and how to engage with each audience effectively while building a larger community 
  • Experience conceptualizing, building and executing social media campaigns that meet business objectives and KPIs
  • Ability to create and execute storytelling through video, static imagery and copy
  • Ability to compile and present relevant data and insights
  • Proficiency with social management tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite etc.
