Senior Content Marketing Manager
Check is a payroll-as-a-service API that lets you embed payroll directly in your vertical SaaS, HR, or time-tracking platform. Our API abstracts away the complexities of running payroll: tax calculation, remittance, and filing, plus the movement of money between companies and employees. This enables companies to easily build fully integrated payroll products to offer to their customers.
At Check, the Marketing team is responsible for driving our company narrative, demand-generation, content creation, product and partner marketing, brand marketing, thought leadership and more. Our team regularly interfaces cross-functionally across sales, success, product, design, business operations, and legal. Today, our team is nimble and no two days are the same as we are building a scalable and impactful marketing org. We are currently seeking an individual who can grow Check’s content marketing strategy and efforts across the entire marketing funnel. This role reports directly to Check’s Head of Marketing.
In this role, you will:
- Define Check’s content marketing strategy from top of funnel awareness through customer acquisition
- Identify key content themes and storytelling opportunities that are aligned to the buyer journey
- Position Check as the go-to source of information in both the payroll and embedded software categories
- Author different types of content and manage a B2B content calendar, including blog posts, thought leadership articles, white papers, reports, ebooks, and more
- Partner with internal and external industry thought leaders to bring additional voices into Check’s content
- Work with the demand generation team to develop content that will be executed within campaigns
- Measure and optimize the effectiveness of our content by developing KPIs and reporting for content
- Lead the team’s SEO strategy and implementation across the website and blog
- Advance and enforce our voice and tone guidelines to ensure a cohesive brand voice
Ideal candidates will have:
- 5+ years of experience in content marketing, ideally a B2B SaaS organization or in the payroll/fintech space
- World-class writing and editing skills and a love for creating content
- A perfect balance of content strategy and ideation through to execution
- The capability of managing several projects at once in a fast-moving environment
- You understand how to make complex things simple and can write value-based content that delights our partners
- A creative mindset and ability to think outside the box for new content ideas
- Experience measuring and optimizing content performance
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative mindset who can partner with a wide-range of teams and individuals, including senior leadership, external thought leaders, and executive audiences
