We are hiring a Sr. Manager, Email Marketing - Retention & Reactivation to develop multi-channel CRM programs that reactivate former subscribers, and re-engage dormant and “at risk” customers. Joining a Customer Engagement team that partners with both product and marketing, the Senior Manager, Email Marketing will be responsible for understanding the needs of disengaged subscribers, and creating programs that re-engage and delight them. If you have a knack for driving strategy through data, the creative sensibilities to turn that into engaging programs, and the ability for work cross-functionality, then this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Develop win-back strategies, programs and automated communications to reactivate former subscribers.
  • Increase our targeting and customization capabilities for reactivation communications across all channels (email, customer care, chat, app notifications and remarketing.)
  • Craft a full year communications calendar leveraging content, offer and personalization to drive a steady flow of reactivated subscribers.
  • Partner with Data Science team to analyze and interpret behaviors and patterns that signal “at risk” subscribers, and drive the creation of re-engagement and “save-a-cancel” solutions that prevent their cancelation in the first place.
  • Work with the Operations team to optimize logistics communications to increase customer satisfaction
  • Create ongoing reporting and research into cancel reasons and customer pain points, informing reactivation strategies while increasing company-wide insight.
  • Take ownership of all reactivation-focused email marketing metrics – opens, clicks, and most notably reactivations.
  • Track KPIs, maintain reporting, and communicate results to Freshly’s leadership team.
  • Partner with marketing and content teams to maintain consistent and holistic customer experience while increasing reactivation and re-engagement.

About You

  • 5+ years of Email Marketing experience in a direct-to-consumer environment, with at least three years focused on loyalty and retention; experience with subscription services a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business Analytics or Marketing degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working with data to drive campaigns and inform strategy
  • Proven experience with campaign development, from briefs through working with creative teams to launch
  • Experience building communications programs through CRM or marketing automation systems a must (Simon Data, Marketo, Eloqua, Sailthru, HubSpot or similar platform)
  • Extremely comfortable working in Excel to manipulate data and build reports
  • Experience coding in languages like SQL is beneficial – the desire to learn is a must
  • Experience with digital advertising is beneficial – the desire to learn is a must
  • Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills. Ability to work between teams and functions with high autonomy and little guidance.
