User Engagement Marketing Manager at Newsela
The Engagement Marketing Manager will lead marketing efforts to activate, engage, and retain Newsela’s 25M+ registered users. In short, you’ll be charged with ensuring teachers and students are logging into the product regularly, performing key activities once there, and coming back often. You’ll work closely with our product management team to understand the user activities that drive sustained, deep engagement, and will subsequently design and execute marketing programs that encourage our users to get the most out of our product. Working closely with Product, Customer Success, and Marketing, you will define our user engagement marketing strategy, design user engagement marketing programs, and execute campaigns across email, social media, in-product marketing and more to drive user registrations, monthly active users, and convert casual users into power users. As part of the Marketing team, you’ll also get hands-on experience building out sophisticated campaign performance tracking to ensure our leadership is equipped with accurate, actionable data to make the best decisions to drive business growth.

You are a data-driven B2B marketer with great strategic instincts, are deeply collaborative, and possess exceptional project management skills. You have a passion for getting users to engage with products and have led marketing campaigns that have created sizable, sustained increases in user engagement metrics for at least 5 years. You have experience with A/B testing, multivariate testing, and are excited by optimizing messaging, offers, channels, and creative to improve user engagement metrics. You have a working knowledge of marketing automation platforms, social media management tools, and leading marketing analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Adobe, Optimizely, etc.).
