Vice President, Corporate Communications
Integral Ad Science (IAS), a global technology and data company that builds verification, optimization, and analytics solutions for the advertising industry, is seeking a VP of Corporate Communications to join our Marketing team in NYC. IAS is looking for a candidate who thrives on strategically leading a global team, can deliver compelling and industry-leading stories, and has the experience to elevate a global brand within the advertising industry.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the ideal candidate will have a proven record of success building technology brands and establishing relationships with key agencies. The role requires someone with extensive experience growing and guiding a savvy team of curious and determined multi-disciplinary experts, with oversight of corporate communications, media relations, partner communications, and internal communications. The VP should be able to demonstrate to the entire organization the progress and impact of the team’s work and how it drives business outcomes.
What you'll do:
- Conceptualize and implement the global communications strategy and coordinate plans across all business units in the Americas, APAC, and EMEA.
- Within this broad role you will have the opportunity to create and deliver a communications strategy and develop the company’s corporate narrative, both internally and externally
- Guide the day-to-day activities of the global communications team in conjunction with regional leadership, ensuring that marketing projects are prioritized according to business impact
- Develop, assist and manage multiple internal communications projects
- Implement and maintain an organization-wide content calendar with the aim of creating reputation defining moments for the organization
- Work closely with the C-suite's press engagement to create high impact media exposure and elevate their reputation as thought leaders
- Enhance the brand’s reputation with key journalists and influencers to help bolster IAS press and industry relationships
- Run a world-class press team that effectively manages incoming inquiries, risk, issues, and crises
- Support the development and implementation of a global social media strategy that aligns to the corporate communications plan
- Stay well ahead of marketing and media trends and contribute new innovative, breakthrough ideas that help the growth of the company
- Prioritize and manage Communications budgets.
- Develop and cultivate cross-functional relationships with teams across IAS, as well as external partners. Manage agency and freelance relationships.
What you'll need:
- A minimum of 10+ years of direct hands-on communications experience, plus 3 years leading a team
- Strong existing relationships with journalists and experience working with C-suite for press engagements, interviews, events, etc
- Experience with translating business goals into a communications strategy through effective planning and implementation.
- Proven ability to influence broadly, secure buy-in and become a preferred partner of regional and local teams
- Exceptional communication and storytelling instincts, polished presentation skills and the confidence to command a room
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of productivity while managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Proven experience recruiting, developing, managing and leading a diverse and high-performing team
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as required
- Knowledge of the international digital media industry, dynamics, and competition a plus
