As the VP of Growth & Media at Compass, you will have holistic ownership of all brand and performance media at Compass. Leading all above-the-line (ATL) and below-the-line (BTL) paid media and owned media (web, social, mobile), this role will be responsible for the efficient stewardship of our marketing budget to drive growth across core audiences - agents, consumers and employees - while maximizing our brand position across the real estate ecosystem. This leadership role will be expected to deliver growth results and our ability to attribute and optimize cross-channel campaigning in service of a diverse range of initiatives.
At Compass You Will:
- Develop and execute a paid and owned media strategy that drives growth for Compass audiences - agents, consumers, and employees
- Oversee our overall paid media planning approach by linking media planning with brand objectives and creative strategy
- Manage, coach and develop an internal team of brand, performance, and event marketers
- Manage budget allocation process for media and fees across all media platforms with a vigorous focus on cost control
- Serve as senior-most expert within the company on topics and trends within traditional (TV, OOH, Radio) and digital (digital, mobile, social) advertising
- Partner with our Chief Creative Officer (CCO) to continue to drive Compass Brand excellence across the ecosystem
- This role reports directly to our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and is based in NYC
What We Look For:
- 15+ years experience in a similar role, preferably at a B2B or B2B2C SaaS or AdTech company managing multi-million dollar media budgets
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree in a quantitative field or an MBA preferred
- Previous agency coupled with in-house experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of the domestic media landscape and media technology
- Experience and understanding of platform and lifecycle marketing
- A proven track record of running performance-driven marketing plans that translate into measurable growth results
- Outstanding organizational, project management, people and communication skills, including strong writing abilities and proven experience communicating key value messages to a variety of audiences both internal and external to Compass
- Ability to prioritize, problem solve, multitask, and work independently in a dynamic, rapidly changing workplace
- Strong proficiency in sourcing and analyzing the data needed to make effective marketing campaign decisions as well as a high comfort level in operating with and making decisions with partial information
- Ability to build and manage a team of managers and highly skilled individual contributors
