We are looking for an experienced, energetic executive to pioneer the VP Growth role at Meetup. Your main responsibility will be to drive the growth of monthly active members, with a primary focus on growth outside the US. We want someone who can seamlessly bridge product, marketing, and technology — someone whose approach is solidly quantitative but who also has a sense for building great experiences.
What you'll get to do in this role:
- Lead all things international — including strategy, localization, product, marketing and local staffing
- Develop and lead growth projects, including new channels, partnerships, and market launches
- Ensure member engagement targets are met
- Build an overall growth marketing strategy with a core focus on performance and product marketing
- Develop and manage full growth P&L across geographies, with specific targets defined
- Develop and scale a country management and category management operation
- Own SEO and App Store optimization
- Develop core data infrastructure to support growth projects; drive analysis and share actionable insights to help improve member engagement across all products
We also expect you to be a seasoned manager who has a passion for building and leading world-class teams. A big part of the role will be building out our country and category management organization to accelerate growth, so experience scaling an operation is key. Building successful internal and external partnerships with senior business, product, marketing, design, and engineering leaders is an important part of this job, so you'll need to be a great communicator and collaborator.
What we're looking for:
- A desire to position one of the Internet's great brands for explosive growth
- Prior experience in a senior growth-oriented role at a consumer tech or e-commerce company
- At least 5 years of experience managing people and are known for building, leading and inspiring awesome teams
- International experience, with a global-centric point-of-view
- An obsession with measuring the impact of everything your team does
- Someone who can think strategically but is also willing to get their hands dirty
- A penchant for coming up with simple solutions to complex problems
