VP of Product Marketing

| Greater NYC Area

Due to exciting growth, we now have an opening for a VP of Product Marketing, based in either our London or New York office. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role will be pivotal in taking our Product Marketing strategy to the next level.

We are looking for a strategic, results-oriented leader who will help us position the product and company for growth and tell the ‘Why Trustpilot” story of bringing consumers and businesses together to collaborate, innovate and build trust on the most transparent open review platform in the world.

Specific accountabilities will include:

  • Develop both company and product positioning and messaging that differentiates Trustpilot by understanding our brand, customer needs, product roadmap, market trends, and competitive forces
  • Own go-to-market launch planning to ensure successful, integrated launches for new product features and company solutions to grow the business from awareness to adoption through engagement
  • Operate in a trusted advisor capacity with Product Management & Sales Leadership to establish a continuous feedback loop (encompassing market trends, customer needs, and competitive factors) to influence the product development roadmap for both consumers and businesses
  • Lead product packaging and pricing conversations and decisions. Partner with product teams on optimal pricing models and strategies for new products and bundled solutions, and provide recommendations to executives
  • Work closely with brand and go-to-market teams on brand initiatives and value proposition. Collaborate with customer marketing on telling the Trustpilot story through the voice of our customer
  • Support any media outreach, social marketing initiatives, and field marketing campaigns and events
  • Analyze the competition and define key use cases for new product feature releases; focus on enabling global marketing, sales, and client success teams to articulate and evangelize for Trustpilot
  • Brief the executive team when needed on product, marketing, competition and positioning

Key to success in this role will be an ability to manage multiple agendas from the Senior Leadership Team and collaborate effectively across the organization, while using well developed influencing skills to deliver the required outcomes of Marketing.

The successful candidate for this role will have significant experience in senior roles within the product and marketing space, focusing on bringing business-to-business services to market.

Other required skills and experience include:

  • 10+ years in high-growth, B2B marketing in SaaS based or ecommerce companies
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, both in building teams and influencing company direction
  • Exceptional communication & presentation skills. Verbally articulate and skilled at telling a visual story
  • Passionate about customer success and technologies that impact companies and their customers

  • Has demonstrated an ability to dive into a product and become a champion and promote features, use cases, and value propositions to customers
  • A hands-on, “can do” attitude, and a drive for outcome focussed performance

An Insider's view of Trustpilot

What are some social events your company does?

One of the great things about Trustpilot is how involved our team is inside and outside of work. Whether it is a happy hour, our kickball league, or fundraisers and drives sponsored by TWIL (Trustpilot Women In Leadership), you can expect to be a part of a hard working and fun loving group!

Deane

Account Executive

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

We have team members in NYC, London, and Copenhagen which may seem tough to collaborate across all 3 time zones, but we all do a great job keeping in touch via Slack, e-mail, and Hangout Meetings. I enjoy working with a global team because it's allowed me to learn more & gain a new perspective.

Britt

Social Media and Community Manager

What does career growth look like on your team?

Every quarter there have been promotions amongst my team - and we always prefer to promote from within. There are clear paths to move into management or maintain personal growth as an individual contributor. It's nice to know there is an achievable plan in place and management has always been supportive of my goals.

Jeremy

Senior Customer Integration Engineer

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

I always have a scheduled 1 on 1 every week where it is their time and not mine to ask questions or discuss topics on their mind. With technology today, communication is so important to be comfortable through several channels, so the team has my cell number and we are chatting on Gchat or Slack throughout the day.

Rob

Senior Manager, Support

How does your team reward individual success?

Individual success does not go unnoticed on our team. The people here make it enjoyable to come into work, be collaborative and crush your goals. Trustpilot is always finding ways to reward your individual success, whether it is a dinner or a trendy gift. You also have to prepare for all the high fives!
