MakerBot is looking for a Mechatronics Engineer/Technician to join the product development team.

As a Mechatronics Engineer/Technician, you will:

• Work cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical and firmware teams.
• Write and execute system level tests and analyze resulting data.
• Diagnose issues that arise during testing and validate changes
• Build prototypes and test fixtures
• Perform root cause analysis on failed units
• Maintain parts inventory and lab space
• Support the development of new product platforms

AsMechatronics Engineer/Technician, you have:

• 2 year Associates Degree in mechanics, electronics, robotics or similar. Military or work experience can substitute.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical test equipment such as multimeter, oscilloscope, micrometer, calipers, CMM
• Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python or JavaScript and an understanding of computer system architecture.
• Strong soldering and fabrication skills with tools such as soldering iron, hot air station, rotary (Dremel) tool, lathe or vertical mill
• Experience with CAD tools such as Solidworks and Altium.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on complex challenges

• Professional experience with 3D printing or MakerBot is a significant plus
