Global Business Analytics, (Senior) Analyst - Operational Analytics

The Position

VICE Media is building a Global Business Analytics team in order to deepen our data driven decision making abilities. We want you to be a part of its success!

You are passionate about empowering global business decisions to be more efficient, effective and data driven. As a key partner for the usage of VICE’s operational analytics, you seek to master the capabilities of our tools, use cases of our metrics, and abilities of our data, continuously evolving and pushing knowledge boundaries. You share expertise of our tools and reporting, training users from basic to advanced usage. You maintain relationships with hundreds of business users across the company, owning a roadmap of reporting and information needed to expand VICE’s decision making abilities. You work with the head of analytics to translate business requirements into data analytics solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide proactive solutions to increase the value and reduce risk of VICE’s operational analytics ecosystem
• Manage dashboards and metrics within our Global reporting tool, DOMO, increasing confidence, usability and actionability of the outputs
• Conduct global trainings for operational analytics usage, improving our user’s ability to reach decisions around where we are and where we’re going as a company
• Strive to become the subject matter expert between business teams and VICE’s data potential

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3 or more years of business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering work
• Strong SQL skills (scripting languages like Python or R are a plus)
• Experience with BI analytics tools (Tableau, Excel/PowerPivot, sisense), DOMO a plus
• Excited about entering into a fast-paced, high growth, environment within a newly formed Global Business Analytics team
• Excellent communication skills – confidence in training users on new processes and tools in a compelling and easy to understand manner
• Media, Advertising, E-Commerce, or Consulting industry experience a plus
