We are seeking a passionate and professional Account Manager Associate to drive retention and consultative upselling with Andela’s vast client base. You will work directly with clients to meet their core business needs through dedicated support and strategic placement of our world-class developers.
With your strong technical experience and in-depth look into our clients’ needs, you will develop practicable solutions that support both our clients’ business growth, as well as our fellows’ professional development.

You are passionate about innovative business models that drive sustainable impact, and you understand what it takes to set clients up for success. While our senior account managers will mentor you, your day-to-day will mostly consist of work with our clients’ lead engineers and product designers, as well as our distributed fellows in Lagos, Nairobi, and Kampala.


In this job you will:

  • Collaborate with the Account Management team to maintain an existing clientbase and position clients for upsells
  • Meticulously onboard new clients to create a positive and impactful experience from the start
  • Build trust with clients over time through consistent, high-value touch points and achieving milestones
  • Cooperate directly with clients to understand their technical and staffing needs
  • Explore new ways of serving client needs based on changing technical requirements
  • Support the Account Management team with special projects and initiatives
  • Coordinate internationally with clients and fellows, from SF to Lagos and beyond

What makes you a great fit for this role:

  • 1-3 years of experience in technical account management, sales, client success roles
  • BA or equivalent in international relations, business, finance, or a technical field
  • You have a robust data-driven client service methodology that you continually improve upon
  • You are passionate about pitching Andela’s uniquely challenging value proposition
  • Your colleagues and clients love working with you, and your business thrives because of it
  • Previously worked at other tech startups and/or in the developing world
