Cadre is seeking a seasoned Acquisitions Professional to serve as a key member of our growing team, helping build Cadre as a leading investment manager and market disrupting thought leader in the real estate sector. The successful candidate has deep experience leading deal execution including initial review, underwriting, investment committee, due diligence, negotiating and structuring loan and JV agreements, closing and asset management. The Associate/Director of Acquisitions understands our business, the technical and functional skills needed to execute and how technology will enhance the real estate investing process

What You’ll Do:

  • Evaluate, execute and manage real estate investments across product types, geographies and capital structure to maximize risk-adjusted returns;
  • Perform detailed underwriting and assessment of investment opportunities; underwriting, structuring, negotiating, obtaining financing for, and executing transactions across a range of transaction types; keeping current on market pricing (public company comps, acquisitions and other trades in the market);
  • Aide in the establishment of an investment strategy, framework and process of evaluation for Cadre’s real estate investments; driving the investment thesis development around Cadre’s real estate acquisitions efforts
  • Develop and nurture both new and existing network to support the sourcing of deals and/or position Cadre to be the successful bidder in a competitive situation
  • Enhance and create trusted, permanent relationships and interfacing with operating partners, investors, and executives
  • Working cross functionally with Acquisitions, Asset Management, Engineering, Investor Relations, Product and People teams
  • Selflessly teach and mentor team members in both deal- and non-deal setting

What You Have:

  • Strong academic performance and achievement. Undergraduate degree required. M.B.A. preferred, but not necessary
  • 4-7 years of relevant work experience, including direct real estate investing experience (ideally at a top-tier real estate private equity firm);
  • Extremely knowledgeable across real estate asset classes and industry sectors
  • Brings a passion for all aspects of real estate investing and demonstrates the commercial discipline and sophisticated investment approach required to make financially attractive investments
  • Understand investment parameters, strategies, and goals of existing and prospective clients; extensive due diligence and transaction experience, including experience evaluating investments in properties, real estate portfolios and real estate debt
  • Ability to clearly articulate the Cadre platform, value proposition to investors and sponsors, investment strategy, and products
  • Multi-dimensional thinker with excellent problem solving and quantitative skills, including excel advanced excel skills and a strong command of ARGUS
  • Goes above and beyond to execute on Cadre’s strategic vision and business plans, as well as represent Cadre in the market
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment - you enjoy taking on challenges to make the business successful
  • Attacks everything with drive, energy, and an eye on the bottom line; not afraid to initiate action; fearlessly drives to finish everything he / she starts
