Analyst, IT Audit & Compliance

The IT Audit and Compliance Analyst will be a proactive member of the Corporate Engineering team with a strong background and track record of assessing and improving IT control environments. The individual will work with external support to execute on Yext’s integrated audits and compliance activities and has the opportunity to identify and recommend process improvements. The individual should be comfortable in leading themselves to efficiently complete audit activities.
This role reports into the IT Audit and Compliance Lead in New York.
Responsibilities
- Execute on our IT compliance plan to ensure an effective internal control environment for SOX, SOC 2 and other regulatory requirements.
- Create and maintain ITGC narratives, walkthroughs and testing documentation of key SOX applications in a complex SaaS environment.
- Review and assess IT application controls, key reports and end user tools for Yext’s Integrated Audit
- Track remediation of IT controls to completion and provide recommendations for improvements
- Assist in developing policies and procedure documents based on ISO27001/2 standards
- Support the Management in Identifying key technology risks, mitigation strategies and improvements to business process.
- Create and maintain internal control narratives, flowcharts and risk matrices.
- Work closely with external parties for all matters related to IT, including IT issues related to SOC-2, SOX, and financial audits.
Minimum Requirements
- 3-5 years of combined experience in the fields of Information Systems audit, Risk Assurance, internal and/or external audit (Big 4 preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting or related discipline
- CISA or equivalent Information Technology audit or security certifications are preferred
- Working knowledge of the COSO 2013 and COBIT frameworks
- Working knowledge of information security and computer network, server, database, and user access technologies.
- Knowledge of GDPR, ISO27001/2, HIPAA and other regulations preferred
- Proven ability to lead self in executing control testing and audit strategies to drive results
- Self-starter who demonstrates initiative and displays a high energy level
- Strong organizational, prioritization and process improvement skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
