Cadre is building a technology-driven investment platform for commercial real estate, opening up access to a 16 trillion dollar asset class favored by private equity firms, hedge funds, and institutional investors.

Cadre is looking for an Associate to join our Business Operations & Growth team, which is responsible for identifying growth opportunities to advance our innovative and disruptive platform, driving priority C-suite growth initiatives and creating operational efficiencies. This is a high-powered team with diverse perspectives composed of ex-IB, ex-PE and ex-consulting individuals who are focused on using data analysis, intuition, and creativity to drive strategic initiatives. This individual will focus on growth, scale and productivity of our core real estate investment products, as well as processes, for both real estate funds and individual deal offerings. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Operations & Growth, you will partner with the investments, sales, marketing, and product teams to develop and grow Cadre’s commercial real estate business. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Produce insights and analytics that describe the critical drivers of the investment platform. Develop models and strategies for implementing processes and best practices to support consistent, data-driven decision-making across Cadre. Act as a key contributor to initiatives led by the Director of Business Operations & Growth
  • Serve as a key real estate expert on the team, leveraging your real estate experience to drive results around Cadre’s strategy and operations across 3 key verticals:
    • Platform analytics: Evaluate and analyze opportunities for growth and improvement based on sound foundational understanding of the Commercial business and the key metrics that define its growth and operational effectiveness
    • Execution effectiveness: As the company undertakes new initiatives or enhances current processes, work closely with the business to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the work and that operational objectives are met
    • Operational effectiveness: Continuously improve data sources, systems, processes and controls to adapt to evolving business and organizational needs
  • Produce analyses and insights for C-Suite and Board discussions around Cadre’s growth and operational effectiveness initiatives
  • Run due diligence processes for key investor relationships; produce and present performance analyses, as well as serve an internal liaison for these investor relationships
  • Collaborate with the business to drive strategy. Proactively identify and deliver forward-looking competitive set analysis relative to industry peers, identify implications to the business and provide recommended course of action to solidify advantages and improve product deficiencies
  • Support go-to-market launch and continued business development of investment products for target investor segments. Major products include:
    • Cadre Direct Access Fund
    • Cadre Deal-by-Deal (“DBD”)
    • Emerging / new products & offerings
  • Work with the sales and marketing team, and more specifically the senior investment products specialist, to produce real estate thought leadership that will be used to drive investor acquisition
  • Be willing and prepared to take responsibility in certain mission-critical areas or ongoing processes across the business


What You Have

  • 4-6 years of pre-MBA business experience with knowledge of real estate investments, ideally in a real estate group within investment banking or a real estate private equity firm
  • Strong business acumen, coupled with strategic analysis experience
  • Ability to thrive in the ambiguity that exists in a nascent, fast-paced startup environment.
  • Previous success delivering and driving results, as well as demonstrating creativity, innovation, collaboration and customer focus
  • High degree of critical thinking skills, with the ability to look into the details and interpret the impact of key industry drivers. Proven ability to break down complex problems into key achievable goals and succinctly communicate actionable recommendations
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating strong internal relationships 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including sharing ideas and information across audiences
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity with exceptional work ethic, attention-to-detail and can-do/will-do attitude
  • Intermediate understanding of the real estate investment industry with preferred experience within real estate fintech or fintech more broadly
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and exceptional PowerPoint/presentation-building skills
