The Organization Development team has a new Associate Director role to meet the growing demand and complexity of client and programmatic needs. This role will be instrumental in leading organization development initiatives contributing to our organization’s future success.

 

The Associate Director will also partner closely with the Director of Organization Development in refining and aligning to a strategy for the organization development work at MSK. In addition to the core qualifications listed below, strong candidates are nimble learners, effective communicators, action-oriented, and customer-focused who can manage ambiguity, develop others, and navigate complex environments.
The Organization Development team provides consulting services to enhance organizational, departmental, and individual performance through designing and implementing tailored organization development solutions. This role presents exceptional opportunities to have an impact on the development of healthcare providers at the forefront of the battle against cancer, as well as the functional areas that provide integral support to these patients and providers.

 

YOU ARE:

  • A strategic thinker who can make sense of complex information and a changing environment to effectively meet organizational and client needs
  • Both analytical and decisive, allowing you to thoughtfully take advantage of novel, high-impact opportunities to grow our organization development portfolio
  • Well-versed in diagnostic and dialogic organization development (design, implementation, and evaluation)
  • Results oriented and motivated by the opportunity to initiate and build new organization development initiatives with a sense of urgency, high energy, and resilience
  • A leader who adjusts your approach based on the shifting demands of the situation or audience
  • A self-starter who can work effectively and consistently to achieve results, even under uncertain circumstances
  • A collaborative team member who builds partnerships and facilitates open dialogue with others, across levels and functions, to meet shared goals
  • Able to support and partner with clients in driving change within their organizations, departments, or team

YOU WILL:

  • Lead the application of organization development principles and approaches to guide clients in setting a vision and driving intentional transformation initiatives across MSK
  • Consult with executive sponsors and leaders to address needs/opportunities, conduct organizational assessment, and define performance metrics and business outcomes
  • Provide thought leadership and direction for new and existing large-scale organization development interventions across a complex, matrixed organization from conception to evaluation
  • Provide expert and customized team effectiveness coaching to groups to improve team performance, functionality, and ability to achieve results
  • Provide executive coaching interventions to enhance leaders’ effectiveness
  • Lead, design, customize, and facilitate organization development interventions for groups of varying sizes (senior teams to whole divisions)
  • Facilitate skill building programs in a credible, influential, and engaging manner
  • Introduce multiple and innovative instructional design options and learning methodologies (e.g., online, blended, distance learning, classroom methods) to develop creative and effective solutions
  • Prepare and monitor operating budget for programs of responsibility

YOU NEED:

  • Master’s degree in Organization Psychology/Development/Leadership, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related discipline
  • 8+ years of forward-thinking experience in organization development
