ROLE:
We think this individual, who will work as a member of our Artist Original (AO) team - JioSaavn's in house label - should have extensive experience developing artists and executing project timelines within the ever changing global music landscape. A great team player with the ability to work independently, this person will play a major role on our team by leading music label initiatives related to artist development, distribution, marketing, partnerships and original programming. 

Overall, we need a strategic thinker with a strong passion for music and a hustle mentality to help us continue to support independent artists globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Identify and develop new talent
• Discover and develop artists by actively seeking collaborations, features, and exclusives
• Maintain and develop relationships with artists and their teams 
• Attend and facilitate studio sessions and contribute to creation of top-quality artist product development
• Oversee recording process and coordinate with all parties involved such as producers, writers, mixing/mastering engineers 
• Build and maintain relationships with key players in the global music industry including artists, radios, managers, labels, promotion partners
• Work closely with our legal team in drafting agreements and enforcing contractual obligations
• Obtaining necessary assets for releases 
• Become fluent in the platform and know how to use our internal systems and data to enable A&R work
• Provide timely communication regarding the status of each project
• Drive marketing efforts for AO artists and releases.
• Facilitate business development of brand partnerships, promotion partners, and creatives for AO artists and releases.
• Work in conjunction with internal teams assisting AO (marketing, editorial, business insights, legal finance)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years relevant experience in music industry 
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Must be experienced reviewing and drafting legal contracts
• Available weekends and ability to travel as needed
• Familiar with musical trends and the global music landscape
• Available for early morning/late night calls
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently
• Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills
