MSK requires all new hires, volunteers, and vendors who come onsite to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. This is based on the COVID-19 vaccines' high level of protection and our shared responsibility in protecting our patients.
Beginning on February 21, 2022, MSK will require all new hires, volunteers, and vendors who come onsite to provide proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination series + booster (once eligible). Individuals currently eligible for a COVID-19 booster must get their booster, or have an approved exemption as a condition of employment at MSK. Individuals can get their COVID-19 booster 5 months after receiving their second dose of either the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, or 2 months after the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Individuals who are not yet eligible for a booster must meet this criteria within 30 days of becoming eligible.
Job Description
Our Internal Audit Department is an independent assurance function within MSK and is responsible for providing the Joint Audit and Compliance Committee (JACC) of the Board of Trustees & Managing Trustees and senior management with objective assurance and consulting services designed to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of MSK's risk management, internal controls, including technology, and governance processes using a systematic, disciplined approach.
Are you looking to join an innovative team that impacts internal controls and compliance at MSK? Using innovative practices, the Audit Specialist, Technology position will conduct complex Information Systems audits which includes assessing risk and controls, executing reviews, and reporting results to Internal Audit Management.
We are looking for someone who can:

  • Leverage experience, external research, and internal sources to identify and understand Information Systems risks significant to MSK in Healthcare, Academic Medicine and Research.
  • Plan and organize Information Systems audits to identify required tasks, develop a project plan with realistic time frames, complete audit testing, and draft audit findings.
  • Participate in Audit Kickoff meetings in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Build Risk Control Matrices to delineate potential risks, actual controls, and audit testing plans.
  • Assess and conclude on the design and operating effectiveness of application and IT general controls.
  • Follow up on management's remediation of action plans.
  • Assist on annual Internal Audit Risk Assessment for MSK's audit universe.


You are:

  • Capable of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
  • A good decision-maker and have strong communication skills, with shown success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
  • Able to work effectively in an environment that has complex, sometimes contradictory information.
  • Able to hold yourself and others accountable to achieve goals and live up to commitments.
  • Able to review and understand commonly used programming code.


You have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • 3+ years auditing Information Systems in healthcare or at large complex environment such as "Big 4"
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certified or pursuing certification preferred
