Up is a stealth company in development by Redesign Health. Up creates a platform in the Physical Therapy arena. Physical Therapy is a massive industry solving an enormous need - but overwhelmingly a fragmented and antiquated care experience. Achieving strong therapy adherence can result in far lower costs/’pain’ for patients and for the system/payor. Therefore, there is a big opportunity to use technology to provide faster access to care, convenient In-home and telehealth consultation, self-managed programs and reminders, and progress tracking and feedback to care team.
As our CEO of Up, you will cofound the company, set strategy, build partnerships with health systems, establish the culture, hire the team, raise capital, achieve growth milestones, participate actively in understanding patients and Physical Therapists; and ensure their needs are prioritized in the product experiences. You will also be scrappy in managing burn rate and building solutions that scale, as this is an asset light model.
You will report with the Director of New Ventures at Redesign Health and other cofounders at our Redesign Health's New York City headquarters.
What you'll do when you begin:
- Build the product roadmap and launch an Minimum Viable Product with scheduling, telehealth and messages
- Hire the executive and operational teams to ensure that Up has the best talent around in the Physical Therapy space
- Launch the marketplace in New York and New Jersey, and ensure great patient & physical therapy experiences
- Raise additional capital, either 2nd seed or series A, to help drive growth of the company
- Add an advisory board to broaden access and expertise in physical therapy
What you'll need:
- Background
- 10+ years experience with 8+ years people management experience
- Built product before as a product leader
- Former CEO, who has fundraised before
- Experience dealing with clinicians or in consumer/marketplace Healthcare
- Skills
- Ability to source insights, turning them into needs and using this to guide proposition and product development
- Ability to pitch the company to partners, investors, prospective employees
