US Operations at Tessian

Tessian is looking for an ambitious, versatile, and results-oriented individual to join our founding US team to lead all people, strategy, and operations initiatives as the US Chief of Staff.

Over the next 12 months, Tessian will grow from 5 to 30 people and define itself as one of the US’ fastest growing cybersecurity / machine learning companies. With this will come logistical, operational, and people-related challenges that need solving effectively.

You’ll be part of our Founding US team and work directly with the Head of US. You will lead all US hiring efforts during this pivotal moment of growth, delivering an incredible employee lifecycle and ensuring a collaborative company culture, and ultimately hiring a Hiring / People Manager to support you with this process.

You’ll also lead what will begin as a one-person Operations team to ensure the smooth running and productivity of the US office, liaising closely with the CFO in London to help utilize our existing infrastructure and aligning the business across continents. This will also involve working with the Head of US on new productivity initiatives: creating new systems / processes, overseeing resources (both people & financial), and planning company events.

You’ll also be directly involved with strategy initiatives and sales operations - gathering data, measuring metrics, and understanding what needs optimizing to improve each team’s effectiveness and overall growth.

This role requires someone who is willing and able to wear many hats and get involved with whatever is required whilst maintaining a bigger picture view. This is a unique opportunity to help scale a proven, rapidly-growing technology start-up.

Day-to-day activities include

• Working with Head of US on all people & strategy initiatives
• Managing the US hiring process (before ultimately growing the People team), from sourcing, screening, and interviewing the right candidates to onboarding & career development
• Tracking metrics and creating systems and processes to streamline workflows and increase team productivity
• Overseeing day-to-day operations of the US business
• Ensuring the success all team members, sustaining company culture
