Circle Community Manager
The Circle is Squarespace’s professional user program, and our mission is to provide support, inspiration, and community for the tens of thousands of professionals, moonlighters, and side hustlers who build client websites on Squarespace. We’re increasing our capacity to engage this community by hiring a team member to work closely with the Strategy and Operations Manager.
As a member of the Circle Community team you will manage our members-only forum, act as a touchpoint for current and prospective community members, and help develop meaningful insights for counterparts around the organization.
This role is based in New York and reports into the Strategy and Operations Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the Circle community forum and deliver quarterly performance reports
- Develop and execute community engagement tactics
- Act as primary member advocate and inform program strategy by identifying and communicating trends, pain points and overall sentiment
- Oversee feature and beta test announcements in partnership with the Product team
- Act as Circle program liaison to Customer Care and manage our membership appeals process
- Lead on the concepting and launch of a community hub
- Develop and lead a scalable local real-world community events strategy
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of online community management experience
- Working understanding of Squarespace’s product offering
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including self-editing
- Strong sense of empathy for power users
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Possess a critical eye for process and know when to optimize, reinvent, or discontinue a system
- Comfortable working across teams and departments to get work done
- History of working with or being an active member of online or offline communities
- Bonus points:
- Experience in planning and producing events
- Experience as a creative freelancer or working at small creative agency or studio
- Working knowledge of CSS, JSON, or other coding languages
