About the Role: 

Betterment for Business is an award winning 401(k) solution that works as hard for your money as you work to earn it. We are currently looking for a Senior Client Success Manager to establish and grow relationships with our enterprise clients and help guide a team of Client Success Managers. In this role you will work directly with our enterprise clients to help bring them a seamless experience operating their 401(k) and supporting their employees. You will also help to develop, implement, and maintain processes that create efficiency on the Client Success Team. You are experienced in bringing top quality service to enterprise clients in a B2B organization and are enthusiastic about a client driven experience. You have some people management or leadership experience and are confident in your ability to coach your colleagues.

This role is remote eligible. Colorado has an annual starting salary of $117,000, a competitive equity package, health, dental and vision benefits, and a 401(k) offering. This job may also be eligible for variable compensation in the form of an incentive bonus. The actual pay may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience. 

A Day in the Life: 

  • Delight and expand a growing book of business for our enterprise clients
  • Align with clients on the outcomes clients are trying to achieve for their employees and assist in outlining a roadmap for success
  • Foster a positive work environment and provide guidance to Client Success Managers
  • Help develop and maintain best practices and processes for Client Success Managers
  • Help drive towards company/department KPIs and OKRs
  • Maintain awareness of client success team KPIs
  • Work cross functionally with our sales executives to help streamlines client onboarding experience and increase product adoption
  • Deliver retirement plan expertise, education, and guidance to clients and their employees
  • Anticipate client risks and strategize ways to help mitigate churn
  • Contribute to a cross functional workplace by working alongside product, marketing and sales teams to help focus other departments on VOC (voice of customer)
  • Perform quarterly business review with clients
  • Uncover and assess opportunities for growing client relationships

What We’re Looking For: 

  • People Management or leadership experience in a cross functional workplace
  • Excellent communication skills, including client facing verbal, written, and presentation abilities
  • Proven ability to grow relationships resulting in increased retention and business outcomes 
  • Enthusiasm for a client driven organization and environment
  • Ability to lead solutions oriented conversations and provide direction through thoughtful communication
  • Experience in retirement services is not required but an eagerness to learn and develop in defined contribution space is a must
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus

What Happens Next?

We expect to take a few weeks to review all applications. If we would like to spend more time with you, you will hear from us to arrange next steps. You can expect 3-4 sets of conversations, all remote, with your future colleagues in the weeks following your application. 

Throughout the interview process, we’ll look to learn more about your skills, experiences, capabilities, and motivators. Many of our interview questions will be behavioral, aimed at understanding how you might operate here at Betterment. We may ask you to complete a case study exercise or technical assessments, depending on the role, as we aim to collect a robust set of data points throughout the interview process. 

On average, it takes us around 4-6 weeks to complete the interview process. As a best practice, we aim to interview at least 3 final round candidates before making a hiring decision.
