About the team & opportunity:

The Cloud Platform team encompasses the Cloud, DevOps, and Networking work involved within the Quartet Health environment. Our Cloud Systems Administrator will support cloud infrastructure to manage and monitor our AWS environment with a variety of vendors and APIs. 

Accountabilities

• Automate and monitor production/staging cloud infrastructure and software including troubleshooting, patching and installation of 3rd party software.
• Minimize risk of failure while striking a balance between redundancy, highly availability, and performance
• Work with other Engineering, Security and DevOps teams to build and operate a highly available and performant cloud infrastructure.

Key Requirements

• Experience with AWS (VPC, Subnets, Route 53, NLB/ELB, Security groups, IAM, etc), analyzing Flow Logs
• Strong Linux administration experience (systems, bash scripting etc.) *minimum 3+ years working experience with Linux
• Troubleshooting, upgrades, installations, and patching are like second nature to you.
• Strong experience using bash and/or other scripting tools to automate operational tasks and make your job easier
• You needn't be a security engineer but a basic knowledge of security best practices and common attack vectors is desirable.
• Experience with creating system backups and performance monitoring.
• Must have experience with relational databases.
• Experience with Elasticsearch a plus.
• Terraform knowledge is a big plus.
