As a Commercial Trainer you will be a critical stakeholder in helping the Commercial teams build a foundation for providing best-in-class customer experience and support in facilitating their continued growth. You’ll be responsible for facilitating all commercial training programs including: onboarding, upskilling, performance gaps, and core skills. You will lead all product launch and sleep trainings, building continuous excitement around our Mission. As an expert facilitator, you will be tasked to support train-the-trainer programs for our internal training teams/call center(s), and to maintain a relationship with each trainer to develop skills and ensure training excellence is met. Additionally, in partnership with the Instructional Designer, you’ll help organize, track, and evaluate training scheduling and completion through LMS management. As our Commercial teams are constantly evolving,  you are comfortable working with uncertainty and are driven by executing Casper’s mission, vision and values in your day-to-day work.

When you’re not catching zzz’s, this is what you’ll do

  • Facilitate Commercial onboarding, including Retail (New Store and Store Manager), Customer Experience/Call Center, Product Consultant, and Wholesale Field Account Team onboarding, as well as ongoing Commercial training programs
  • Maintain program playbooks and create program communication for participants
  • Manage tasks associated with our Learning Management System (LMS) including managing course enrollment; tracking and reporting learning activities; managing attendees or sign-in sheets; supporting/triaging requests 
  • Shadow peer trainers to provide feedback and development opportunities
  • Ensure you’re up to date with current policies, processes, and best practices for all Commercial teams
  • Work directly with participants and leaders to gauge learning impact and gather training feedback for program reporting
  • Partner with Instructional Designer to review training materials and develop learning experience formats as needed, ie videos or podcasts
  • Become an expert in effective training delivery, engaging a room, and inspiring learning
  • Create and encourage a collaborative, positive atmosphere for learning
  • Execute dynamic learning activities, working on a 1:1 and group level to ensure effectiveness
  • Travel occasionally throughout the year to support trainings or vendor partnerships

Our dream candidate is...

  • 2-3 years of training experience required - customer-facing experience is a plus
  • Fluency with adult teaching and strong facilitation skills with experience navigating in-person and virtual training (large and small groups) 
  • A strong foundation of product knowledge training and soft skills training
  • Proficiency with file sharing, spreadsheet, reporting, presentation, and virtual conferencing software (ie Google Suite, Excel, Zoom, etc) required - experience with video-editing and/or audio software is a plus
  • Experience with empirical research methods is a plus
  • Advocacy for the customer and understands what it takes to deliver memorable experiences
  • A highly professional attitude, as reflected in their overall attitude, timeliness, and teamwork
  • Commitment to company and team goals— works collaboratively, willing to shift priorities, focus, and initiatives depending on business needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with an ability to simplify concepts and tailor messaging for specific audiences
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail, with planning and prioritization skills that don't falter in a fast-paced work environment
  • A strong sense of urgency, ownership, and personal responsibility
