As Conductor’s Communications Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing an integrated internal and external communication strategy. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with leaders to create compelling internal communications to inform, engage, connect, and motivate employees. You’ll also support our external communications to tell the stories of our organization in partnership with our external communications agency.


A successful candidate will have a keen understanding of how internal and external communications and narratives play off one another. The ideal candidate should demonstrate expertise leading internal communications programs— working in change management and
culture building. A successful candidate should be able to demonstrate successful outcomes from communications activities they have conceptualized, developed and executed. We are seeking a candidate who is a strong communicator and storyteller, an excellent writer,
highly organized, and possesses strong time management skills.
Responsibilities

Internal Communications

  • Lead the development and facilitate the delivery of internal communication plans and programs
  • Develop communication plans that drive employee awareness and build understanding of corporate strategy, business priorities and results
  • Partner with the People Team (HR) on the development and implementation of communication strategies around organization-wide people and change management initiatives
  • Source, draft and deliver a variety of internal communications including email newsletters, intranet content, live company-wide events and more
  • Organize and support our weekly all company meetings and our quarterly Town Halls
  • Partner with senior leadership to create presentations for global Town Halls, all-hands meetings and other internal events
  • Develop new ideas to continually improve our internal communications and shared understanding of the company vision, mission and strategy

External Communications

  • Manage day-to-day relationship with our external communications agency
  • Develop and pursue opportunities to position Conductor’s executive team as thought leaders in key aspects of technology and marketing
  • Support incoming media inquires and coordinate with internal stakeholders
  • Write and edit key documents, including media advisories, key messages, media statements, Q&As, fact sheets, backgrounders and web and social content
  • Come to the table with creative ideas about how to tell the Conductor story to reach new audiences


Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of communications experience required - agency or in-house
  • Exceptional communication skills including in writing and editing
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and organizational skills
  • A strong self-starter who is willing to make their mark in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are a team player - Low ego, low maintenance, no job too big or small. Humble.
  • You have a point of view and are always looking for ways to contribute, even if the task is not ultimately your responsibility
  • Strong project management and organizational skills - must be able to organize work in a methodical and rigorous manner but equally comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to think and act strategically, while playing a hands-on role in the development and execution of tools and tactics to support the business.
