About the opportunity:

As a two-sided digital image marketplace, Shutterstock benefits both contributors who want to earn while displaying their images and videos, and customers who want to access and license that content.

Shutterstock is looking for a Contributor Escalations Specialist to handle day to day operational tasks and identify process improvements that will improve efficiency and contributor satisfaction. Seated in our NYC office and reporting to the Manager, Global Customer Care Operations, you will work with the front-line operations team, sales and product to improve the experience.

This role is fixed-term and will last 6 months. 

As the Contributor Escalations Specialist:

You can expect to...

  • Handle daily requests from the sales team when clarification or information is needed from one of our contributors
  • Handle escalated issues regarding all aspects of the contributor experience: registration, payouts, licensing, taxes and information security.
  • Assist with onboarding new members of the team
  • Advocate for contributors at every opportunity
  • Provide recommendations on process improvements that will further streamline the process
  • Communicate with contributors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Patiently assist contributors with varying technical skills
  • Multitask in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of communications
  • Ability to thrive within and adapt to organizational changes

You will need...

  • 2+ years of successful Customer Service experience
  • A degree from a 4-year college or university or equivalent experience
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with agile system development a plus

It would be helpful if you had:

  • Some knowledge of typical stock photography licensing terms (such as royalty free vs rights managed, etc)
  • Experience working with SalesForce or other CRM system
