We've been doing this for 15 years in the UK and are growing our presence in the US with around 3,000 rooms available in NYC. We're also active in California and South Florida.

As we expand across the US we're looking to build out our team to help assist with customer service and account management. We take customer service really seriously, it's a hugely important facet of our business. We have a fantastic team based in Manchester, UK, but now we need some support stateside!

We're a small, agile team and are looking for someone who can work efficiently across a number of work-streams with a great attention to detail.

You'll be communicating with customers via email and on the phone so great written and spoken English is a must as well as a courteous tone, a friendly personality and a good degree of patience. Previous experience answering customer service phone calls (or similar) is required.

This role will report to the General Manager, USA and have frequent interaction with the Head of Customer Service, based in Manchester, UK.

This role will help us support our West coast operations, so the normal hours of work will be 12-9pm Eastern.

We're based in a lovely WeWork in Flatiron and you'll be working with a small but growing team - there are four of us currently.

Primary role and responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound customer service inquiries via email and on the phone
  • Moderate adverts to ensure no dodgy behavior gets onto the site
  • Help manage listings for a selection of large real estate accounts
  • Help manage payments and any refunds
  • Assist with our bi-weekly Speed Roommating events
  • Assist with some other marketing and operational activities on an ad-hoc basis
  • This will be our first customer service/success role in the US, so successful applicants will have a great opportunity to drive the direction of customer service and manage a team as we grow

Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000 + company benefits (generous PTO + more)
