Our software helps salons and spas run their entire business. This includes everything from booking appointments, managing their staff members, taking payments, and so much more.

We are still a pretty small team mostly based in Los Angeles, but we are doing BIG things and our software is already used by hundreds of salons and spas in the US & Canada. Every month dozens more start using our system!

What’s the role?
You’ll be one of our first few members on the customer support team and you’ll be on the front-lines of responding to support messages from our users. This is usually over chat messaging, but can occasionally also mean a phone call.

In addition, you’ll also be writing articles for our “Learning Center” which is a place where users can find answers themselves. Writing is a big and important part of the job.

People will expect you to be an expert in our software and find every little knob and dial. You’ll also know the ins and outs of salons and spas, how they work, what problems they face, etc. Don’t stress it though, you’ll have great coworkers who are happy to help!

Lastly, we hope you’re based somewhere in New York or at least not far away. This will make it easier to meet in person or work from an office for a couple of days a week when the time comes again. As a bonus, it will also give you a 3 hour time-zone advantage over our west coast folks.

What you’ll need

  • Be able to learn extremely fast and have a “figure-things-out” attitude
  • Enjoy working on difficult-to-solve problems, sometimes in stressful situations
  • Love talking with people from all walks of life and always be respectful and nice
  • Must be great at writing. Seriously, writing is super important
  • Experience with salons and spas (or beauty & wellness in general) would be helpful

In addition, we want you to be aware that this is a startup. You’ll get fair compensation, a ton of flexibility, and lots of opportunities for growth in a fast-moving tech company, but on the flip side it means that working hours are not always super predictable, especially not in customer support. We try to avoid it as much as possible, but the reality is that there will evenings and weekends. Please be sure that you are comfortable with this when applying for this role.
