Design Operations Program Manager
Squarespace is looking for a Design Operations Program Manager focused on creating and maintaining processes that scale for the Product organization. We believe the next generation of business will compete by building outstanding brands and connecting directly with their customers: our suite of tools will help them do that. Our Design Ops team is focused on creating processes to help create efficiencies in our product life cycle.
The Design Operations Program Manager will partner closely with Design Ops leads to architect processes in the areas of communication. This role requires you to work cross-functionally with design managers, business affairs, and legal to understand, plan, and support processes that scale for the organization. You will manage communication and develop relationships with stakeholders and third party vendors at all levels.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Design Operations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and communicate product ops processes and developments to leadership and cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with product operations, program management, and design leadership to execute team offsites/conferences
- Create a culture of continuous improvement of process and experience
- Analyze opportunities, define successful approaches and proactively solve problems
- Facilitate contractor/vendor process and collaborate with product leads to insure external support
- Act as a central cross-functional communications resource, with a focus of managing production workflows, timelines, and operations specific projects
- Maintain process for contracts and licensing; while creating alignment with legal and business affairs
- Create a culture of continuous improvement of process and experience
- Ability to establish and maintain external relationships to effectively plan and execute team culture initiatives
- Help solve problems and enable effective organization level communication
- Develop communications best practices to insure healthy collaboration
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a project manager or program manager with a background in planning and execution of internal and external initiatives
- Demonstrate an understanding of product design and matrixed disciplines
- A natural problem-solver. You are comfortable with ambiguity and overcoming impediments to deliver
- Attention to detail and capturing the big picture to achieve product process goals
- Strong written communication skills that can scale to a larger audience
- Team-player mentality with the ability to influence without authority
- Experience coordinating with legal teams and building contracts
