We are looking for a talented desktop support / systems administrator to help us with both the technical elements of our office infrastructure environment as well as providing hands-on support for end user technical concerns. This person will be providing desktop support to personnel, managing user accounts and permissions, maintaining wired and wireless office networks and equipment, and providing onboarding / offboarding support as the company grows.

This position needs a seasoned professional providing advanced expertise in a complex professional discipline. You will provide and maintain a reliable technical office infrastructure to effectively serve the internal personnel. This may include running, maintaining, and troubleshooting systems, networks, and/or desktop environments; responding promptly and effectively to technical issues; directly resolving problems or escalating to the appropriate resource and monitoring those issues to their effective resolutions. You will work both independently and with other teams when necessary, and must be able to evaluate and prioritize work based on criticality and impacts to other teams and services.

As a primary member of the Infrastructure team, you will report directly to the Information Security Manager, and work with Security and DevOps to ensure that the infrastructure is aligned with the needs and concerns of the business. You’ll also work closely with other teams, providing guidance and support to keep the teams functioning smoothly. Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to help develop both infrastructure and support processes across all functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary end user support
    • Troubleshooting workstations / applications
    • Network support
    • Workstation health and management (Windows and OS X)
  • Support employee user management
    • Active Directory
    • Group Policy
    • Hardware builds / replacements
  • Office network support and maintenance
    • Firewalls
    • Switches
    • Wireless Access Points
  • Coordinate with other teams
    • DevOps for AWS network access management
    • InfoSec for audit support and evidence collection
    • Other teams to evaluate new applications and tools to support processes and workflows
  • Other tasks as assigned

Skills:

  • 1-3 Years of Experience
  • Must have experience with:
    • Desktop support in an office environment
    • Troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and basic networking equipment
    • Patch management and workstation building
    • Managing firewalls, switches, and wireless networks and clients
  • Specific technologies:
    • Windows 10
    • Mac OS X High Sierra
    • AirWatch / Google G Suite / Microsoft Office 365

Nice to Haves:

  • Industry certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.) or a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field of study
  • Experience maintaining Fortinet firewalls and VPNs
  • Active Directory and Group Policy management
  • Workstation imaging / cloning
