We're looking for a Director of Business Operations & Growth to improve business outlook by identifying growth opportunities to advance our innovative and disruptive platform, driving top priority growth initiatives and creating operational efficiencies. This individual will focus on growth, scale and productivity of our core investment products, as well as processes, for both funds and individual deal offerings. Reporting directly to the General Manager, Business Operations & Growth, you will partner with the investments, sales, marketing, and product teams to develop and grow the number of investment accounts across Cadre’s offerings. You will be responsible for understanding the Commercial Business in depth, analyzing business performance through key metrics, recommending strategic priorities to grow the platform or increase operational effectiveness, and then executing on those initiatives.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Evangelize insights and analytics throughout the organization. Develop and implement processes and best practices to support consistent, data-driven decision-making across Cadre. Act as the right hand to the General Manager, Business Operations & Growth translating data into insight and into action.
  • Act as strategic partner, in partnership with General Manager, Business Operations & Growth, to senior leadership in Cadre’s growth and operational effectiveness initiatives. Champion and develop actionable insights and approaches/plans to drive performance spanning 3 key verticals:
    • Platform analytics: Evaluate and analyze opportunities for growth and improvement based on sound foundational understanding of the Commercial business and the key metrics that define its growth and operational effectiveness
    • Execution effectiveness: As the company undertakes new initiatives or enhances current processes, work closely with the business to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the work and that operational objectives are met
    • Operational effectiveness: Continuously improve data sources, systems, processes and controls to adapt to evolving business and organizational needs
  • Collaborate with the business to drive strategy. Proactively identify and deliver forward-looking competitive set analysis relative to industry peers, identify implications to the business and provide recommended course of action to solidify advantages and improve product deficiencies
  • Plan go-to-market launch and continued business development of investment products for target individual investor segments. Major products include:
    • Cadre Direct Access Fund
    • Cadre Deal-by-Deal (“DBD”)
    • Cadre Cash
    • Emerging / new products & offerings
  • Continuously maintain and build an intimate level of knowledge of different investor types and what motivates them. Map product ideas and go-to-market strategies to each investor type
  • Partner with finance to model out the ROI associated with strategic initiatives and serve as project lead on projects, workstreams, or key deliverables that feed into the larger program
  • Socialize insights and strategic plans across Cadre to cultivate strong partnerships and promote ability to build selfless, fearless and exceptional teams
  • Be willing and prepared to take responsibility in certain mission-critical areas or on-going processes across the business


WHAT YOU HAVE

  • 10+ years of business experience, including 2+ in investment banking or private equity and 3+ years of experience in a high growth technology company or high-growth operating capacity.
  • Strong business acumen, coupled with strategic analysis experience.
  • Ability to thrive in the ambiguity that exists in a nascent, fast-paced startup environment. Previous success delivering and driving results, as well as demonstrating creativity, innovation, collaboration and customer focus.
  • High degree of critical thinking skills, with the ability to look into the details and interpret the impact of key industry drivers. Proven ability to break down complex problems into key achievable goals and succinctly communicate actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating strong internal and external relationships and collaborating cross-functionally within a high-growth environment and with teams distributed in multiple geographic locations.
  • Strong communication and influence, capable of getting various functional team members to reach a common goal without relying on direct reporting lines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including sharing ideas and information across audiences.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts, escalations and negotiations via win/win solutions.
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity with exceptional work ethic, attention-to-detail and can-do/will-do attitude.
  • Intermediate understanding of the real estate investment industry with preferred experience within real estate fintech or fintech more broadly.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and exceptional PowerPoint/presentation-building skills. 
  • Relevant BA/BS degree or professional accreditation.
