Director of Care Design
Maven is looking for a Director of Care Design to work closely with our Clinical Research and Outcomes and Clinical Operations teams in creating a better standard of care for women and families and driving improved outcomes in maternal health, fertility treatment, and pediatric care. Reporting directly to the VP of Payer & Clinical Strategy, the Director of Care Design will be an important member of Maven’s clinical team, and will collaborate closely with Maven’s Chief Medical Officer and other leaders from Strategy, Product and Clinical Operations to continue to enhance and operationalize Maven’s clinical strategy. This person will be responsible for supporting Maven’s product efforts to help prevent traumatic and costly outcomes like preterm birth and Cesarean section for women and families, assisting in the development of new product lines, and ensuring clinical quality and outcomes are maintained as we grow.
As Director of Care Design, you will:
- Work with the Chief Medical Officer and other members of the clinical team to continue to refine our clinical strategy for how Maven improves health outcomes for members
- Partner closely with the Product organization and Clinical Operations to continue to develop the clinical product roadmap and execution plan
- Operationalize Maven’s current clinical roadmap, working with key cross-functional leaders necessary for execution
- Collaborate with Maven’s Clinical Research and Outcomes team to understand implications of certain activities in the product and/or with Maven’s breadth of practitioners that help drive clinical outcomes
- Help determine key success metrics and track them in a way to maintain accountability but also to inform the future clinical roadmap
We’re looking for you to bring:
- Passion to drive better maternal health outcomes, and grow new and innovative care models in women’s and family health, including in different populations (i.e., high risk, both Medicaid and Commercial)
- Experience developing scalable, evidence-based clinical processes or care management protocols, and directly implementing and evaluating them across care delivery contexts
- Experience with a high-growth, fast-paced environment and the excitement at the challenge of building a business with ambitious goals (including potential experience with a B2B2C company)
- Experience collaborating closely in a ‘hands-on’ manner with product/business teams, while driving metrics and business outcomes
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals who have different skill sets and backgrounds, including Product, Engineering, Design, and other cross-functional teams on technologies we implement, including in/around telehealth and care coordination
- Superb communication skills with both clinical and non-clinical audiences, decisive prioritization, and ability to say no
- Clinical background welcome (i.e., MD, DO, CNM, APN, RN), but not required
At Maven we believe that a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences enrich our teams and allow us to achieve above and beyond our goals. If you do not have experience in all of the areas detailed above, we hope that you will share your unique background with us in your application and how it can be additive to our teams.
