Domio is looking for a Director of Construction to manage teams to oversee the successful build-outs and renovations of apart-hotel, community and vacation rental projects. This person will work with Real Estate Investments, Project Management, Design, and Operations to ensure that building projects are completed on time, on budget and according to our plans and specifications. This person should be able to juggle multiple projects in various stages simultaneously and communicate cross-functionally across different teams.

Our ideal candidate has experience at various stages of development including, but not limited to due diligence, contract management, people management, etc. We are looking for someone who has experience both working with early-stage startups and smaller companies scaling rapidly, as well as established larger companies.

At Domio You Will:

• Manage overall quality, budget, and schedule for construction projects
• Develop project budgets during initial underwriting and refine during due diligence
• Manage and continually refine construction project process standards
• Manage multiple projects on multiple timelines, while prioritizing critical project needs by coordinating closely with stakeholders
• Manage a team of construction managers
• Keep track of potential impacts to project budget, schedule, and quality
• Be substantially involved during Due Diligence
• Be substantially involved during Documentation and Pre-construction/Bidding to secure access agreements, finalize budget, award contracts, and release construction
• Be substantially involved during Construction, Staging, and Closeout to ensure construction completion
• Generate and continuously maintain reporting data for all projects, reporting to upper management as necessary
• Be accountable for timely project execution, reporting, risk and safety, and budgeting, and completion
• Must be willing and able to travel to oversee the projects at the various stages

Who You Are:

• 7+ years of construction management experience, as well as collaboration experience with real estate, logistics, and design teams
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or equivalent preferred
• Be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Expertise in all building and construction systems, and reading construction documents
• Experience in hotel, commercial, or residential construction is preferable
• Passionate about development and wanting to help grow the community
• Passionate about collaborating and putting out the absolute best work
• Great at managing productivity
• Cross-functional communicator - must understand the daily responsibilities and work styles of teams
• Comfortable with tech and data
• Analytical and strong ability to problem solve
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
