About This Role:

We are looking for a Director of Corporate IT to play a critical role in supporting Transfix’s rapid growth as we are rapidly adding staff, opening a new office, adopting a hybrid workplace model, and continually increasing our daily operations of trucks on the road. This role is responsible for successful deployment and management of a large suite of SaaS productivity and business tools, as well as a VoIP call center deployment. As a maturing company, we have enhanced our IT security posture and we are looking for someone with experience ensuring policy compliance across a growing distributed workforce, along with having a key voice in how we right-size policies for our stage and growth. What you’ll do:

• Direct all IT, productivity, and business continuity needs for a growing staff of 250+ employees and contractors
• Hardware and software procurement, provisioning, and inventory across a mixed Windows and Mac environment
• Remote fleet management and monitoring
• Centralized user access and role management across local software and cloud/SaaS services, including Google Workspace, Office 365, Salesforce
• Email delivery, spam and phishing prevention
• IT Usage policies and compliance 
• Onboarding and offboarding of employees and contractors, according to security policies
• Physical network, Wifi, and VPN
• VoIP Softphone support for 150+ users across multiple locations
• Mobile Device Management
• Video Conferencing
• Company-wide education and policies around general security, physical theft, malware, and phishing.
• Business continuity planning, esp. regarding service redundancy
• Personnel management of Corp IT team (workflow, goal setting, performance, hiring)

About you:

• You have at least 6 year experience in Corp IT and helpdesk support roles, managing deployments of Windows and Macs
• You have at least 2 years of team leadership experience, including planning and goal setting, hiring, and training
• You have at least 2 years experience administering Google Workspace, centralized directory services, remote policy deployment, and endpoint management
• You have experience with automation tools and scripting in one or more languages
• You have strong knowledge of IT Security and can speak to tactics for detecting, monitoring, and preventing vulnerabilities 
• You have managed compliance with security or regulatory controls frameworks, such as ISO27001, NIST 800-53, SOC, or ITGC
• You effectively balance high level planning and strategy with rolling up your sleeves and helping the team get things done
• You have high attention to detail and provide top-notch customer service to teams you support
