The Director, Growth [New Vertical] is a new role within Ro that will focus on crafting and executing against a comprehensive growth strategy supporting the launch and subsequent evolution of Ro’s new [New Vertical] condition offerings, which are targeted for a public launch in late Q2/early Q3 2021.
Reporting to the SVP, Growth, this individual will be responsible for developing the full go-to-market strategy for our [New Vertical] product offering, ushering it to market before developing and executing upon a roadmap to scale growth and acquisition beyond the initial launch.
This individual will develop plans to acquire new customers through SEM, SEO, paid social and other channels, and they will ensure our [New Vertical] consumer experience is optimized for conversion in addition to an optimal patient experience. This position will require close collaboration with Product, Marketing, Design, and Engineering colleagues within the dedicated [New Vertical] team, as well as broader collaboration across the Growth, Marketing, Legal, Data, and Ops teams of Ro. You will join us as a leader within the broader Ro Growth Team and report to the SVP of Growth, however, your day to day will be 100% dedicated in service of our [New Vertical] team, with a dotted line reporting into the General Manager, who will be leading the [New Vertical] team thru launch.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide thought leadership, creative vision, and growth strategy for an entirely new category from the ground up
- Oversee planning, budgeting, and execution for all growth marketing efforts in service of Ro’s [New Vertical] offering
- Own the daily metrics, performance, and strategy for new patient acquisition and existing patient retention for Ro’s [New Vertical] business
- In collaboration with Marketing, develop a go-to-market launch plan for Ro’s [New Vertical] offering, factoring in market and consumer research, competitor positioning and our key product attributes and value props to outline a launch acquisition strategy
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering counterparts to rapidly run and analyze experiments A/B experiments across areas like paid landing pages, OV optimization and CRM lifecycle flows that drive improved conversion rate in support of acquisition
- Collaborate closely with Marketing (design and copy) to optimize creative assets and landing pages across paid media channels
- Oversee CAC tracking and calibration on a daily basis to drive macro-level decision making around budget allocations and forecasts for the [New Vertical] business
- Develop and execute strategic a content marketing plan in coordination with our Marketing and Health Guide teams, planting the seeds for a robust growth and retention strategy
- Rundown new, innovative growth tactics including affiliate, partnerships, referral, and more in search of scalable sources of member growth
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- 10+ years in a leadership role on the growth or marketing team of a performance-oriented, consumer-focused brand or firm with a proven track record of success
- Ability to serve as a player/coach: can both manage cross-functional partners and also execute strategies based on need
- Deep understanding of best practices across key growth marketing channels (Google, Facebook, Display, Audio, Streaming Video, etc)
- Bias towards analytics and measurement, and extensive experience with having your work measured against or towards revenue-related goals
- Excellent managerial and mentoring skills, with an ability to coach and develop more junior talent and bring out the best in others
- Comfort and ease working with finance teams to align on budgets, financial targets, and the measurement of key financial performance metrics (i.e., CAC and LTV)
- Proven track record of developing frameworks and workflows that enable teams to achieve peak performance
- Ability to communicate complex information in an easily understood and thoughtful manner
- Experience collaborating with product, engineering, individual growth channel managers, and design teams
- Deep experience working with medical/legal stakeholders is a major plus
