Noom is looking for an experienced Director of Global Operations, Coaching who will combine domestic learnings from innovation within our team of 3000+ coaches, expert insight, market research, and coaching principles to develop and implement coaching strategy to meet the growth goals of International Expansion and maintain a high quality coaching presence internationally. 


What you’ll do

  • Construct and execute our global expansion strategy for coaching
      • Build a 3 year strategic roadmap for International Coaching Division
      • Design the end to end delivery of a user’s experience with a Noom coach for customers in International Noom markets
      • Drive brand consistency and adoption globally while facilitating localization where appropriate
  • Implement coaching support for three International market launches 
    • Consult in-market users and clinical experts to tailor our coaching strategy in a way that makes coaching’s entry into a new market both effective and efficient 
    • Based on user acquisition targets and coaching expansion strategy for each market, develop a model to inform and implement hiring and training for all necessary coach onboarding 
    • Partner with international team to bring coaching into new regions and then work tirelessly to evolve and optimize coaching in those markets


  • Leverage analysis of coaching in International markets to inform coaching protocol improvements 
    • Develop 2-3 concrete recommendations for maximizing International coaching performance that align with International growth goals
    • Constantly be analyzing and analyzing our coaching to innovate and evolve in a way that continuously improves our efficacy and efficiency 
    • Build external relationships and partnerships that help enable and drive coaching as a sustainable competitive advantage
    • Possess ownership over retention and engagement targets driven by coaching
    • Work with technical teams to design experiments and solutions to country-specific delivery problems


  • Direct the international coaching team to ensure operational consistency and best practices in driving revenue and user satisfaction 
    • Responsible for identifying and hiring key management roles to support International Coaching
    • In collaboration with legal and people teams, establish processes around international hiring, employee relations, and entity establishment where applicable
    • Act as a stakeholder, along with Head of Content and Localization Managers, in the alignment, experimentation, and improvement of local user content 

What we looking for:

  • Your background: 
    • 6+  years of experience in Operations, Strategy, or Development; with some of that experience in International Expansion 
    • Background in Psychology or Health related field a huge plus
    • Experience at a fast paced, hypergrowth start up or company a plus 
    • Proven success launching products or services in new markets without an existing presence
    • Track record of building successful international growth roadmaps, achieving product-market-fit and improving international usability for US based companies
    • Collaborative approach, with experience influencing cross-functional teams in a complex organization to drive international growth
    • Experience living and working abroad in a non-English speaking country is a plus
    • Language ability in other languages besides English is a plus

    • Ability to derive insights from data and generate actionable recommendations / hypotheses

      • Strong first principles thinker. Is able to uncover the root cause of difficult problems. Rapidly and incisively can assess pros / cons, risks / benefits.
