Requirements
About the role
Rokt’s looking for our first Director of IT. This role is a player-coach opportunity -- you’ll own the strategy and roadmap of Global IT. In this role you’ll ensure that our systems are safe and secure while rolling out new initiatives and software to keep Rokt at the forefront of modern technology.
Who You Are
You're an experienced Information Technology champion with a passion for building out organizations in high-growth mode. You know what it takes to scale a startup into a full fledged company. You thrive in a strategic and hands-on role where you might deploy a new security solution one day, and present an IT plan and vision to our executive team the next.
You have a proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment - from setting up new hires, to creating IT processes and documentation - you've done it all and can't wait to do it again! Rokt depends on the security and stability of its IT systems 24/7, so you’re driven to make everything as reliable as possible.
In this role you will grow and lead a small team covering desktop support, networking and systems operations to support our offices and distributed workforce around the world. You will work cross-functionally with the Operations, Legal, Facilities, Security and People teams to develop and implement the IT vision for Rokt. Your team will be Rokt’s first standalone IT function.
Outcomes & responsibilities
- Define strategy, roadmap and functionality of the IT function at Rokt
- Grow, lead and inspire a global team of 3-5 direct reports
- Investigate common user problems and develop solutions to prevent similar issues from arising in the future
- Lead offensive security exercises
- Manage hardware procurement and asset management
- Provide hardware, software and peripheral support to all Rokt team members
- Manage the administration of GSuite and other cloud applications
- Create IT documentation and processes to assist users and conduct training sessions where needed
- Research and evaluate new products and services that help keep our IT environment current and relevant
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and consultants, evaluating and researching new vendors as needed
- Be on call and able to manage critical issues outside normal work hours
Capabilities & requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on IT experience with an added focus on security preferred
- Experience managing and building teams
- Experience with Google G Suite, SSO, Firewalls, and VPNs (G Suite certification)
- Experience with cloud computing services (platform certification a plus)
- Experience in Active Directory, Group Policy, File Sharing, etc
- Prior experience in building and executing best in class IT practices, policies, and processes and deployments of company-wide IT solutions
- Technical skills in Mac and Windows, including administration, support and troubleshooting
- Experience troubleshooting local network related issues, including switches, routers, firewalls, access points, printers, and other devices
- Ability to work and think quickly in fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with Network Operations or Systems Engineering preferred
- The mindset of a hacker, you’re always on the lookout to find and close vulnerabilities
