Director of Operations
We are looking for a Director of Operations to work directly with the COO to make sure everything in the company is running smoothly, focusing on these core areas: listings, people ops, finance, and customer experience. This is an exciting opportunity to establish the foundation, processes, and systems that will empower the Roomi team as we continue to grow and scale quickly (aka: build the engine that will help us take off). You must have an entrepreneurial spirit, and be able to execute on both day-to-day tasks as well as design higher-level strategy.
DESCRIPTION
- Constantly monitor, track, and re-assess the KPIs for each of the core business functions that the COO overseas: listings, people ops, finance, and customer experience.
- When necessary, create new goals for teams while making sure there is buy-in so that everyone is aligned
- As a strategic partner to the executive leadership team: develop strong, proactive collaborative working relationships across the organization while also addressing and anticipating key business issues.
- Design, document, and optimize the business & operational processes for our offices.
- Actively manage communication channels with team members, managers, and users.
- Oversee short-term and long-term planning and budget development to support company goals.
- Eventually be able to stand in for the COO in the following ways: interview candidates, lead department meetings, support fundraising efforts, legal issues/paperwork, one-on-ones with direct reports, company announcements, all hands presentations, speaking engagements, etc.

REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years scaling operations (or related function) at a tech company
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA is a bonus
- Proficiency in Excel
- Able to recommend the right tool for the job (communication, finance, accounting, employee engagement, HR, payroll, etc)
