About the Role
The moment couldn’t be more exciting for Lively and the industry as demand for telehealth services accelerates quickly. As a telecare company that’s established a strong D2C business, Lively is looking for an accomplished business builder to identify, launch and scale new business lines and partnerships in the B2B space.
As the Director of Strategy & Partnerships, you will plan and drive the company’s B2B expansion strategy, helping define the biggest areas of growth, creating solutions and launching pilots to validate them, and scaling the business model and team to achieve traction against them. We’re looking for a strategic thinker who has experience leading complex, cross-functional projects to completion with a strong sales and marketing acumen. This role reports directly to the COO and will be critical in driving new business growth and helping Lively expand its mission of helping millions get access to hearing care.
Responsibilities
- Research, identify and validate opportunities for business growth, developing a long-term strategic partnership plan
- Build and manage relationships with key industry players including retailers, insurance companies, elder care organizations, and more to develop new sales channels
- Create compelling business cases for potential partners and shape key company material (business and financial model, pitch decks, case studies etc)
- Execute partnerships by project managing internal cross-team work (process changes, product updates, marketing collateral, systems, etc) and monitor impact towards goals, pivoting partnership/engagement model as necessary based on learnings and traction
- Forecast growth and for key channel and partner accounts
- Build the resources and/or teams needed to scale validated business lines
- Work closely with senior management to help manage business expansion and growth
Qualifications
- 5+ years in business development, especially at a high-growth startup
- Background in healthcare is preferred but not necessary
- Demonstrated experience launching and scaling new business lines, partnerships or markets
- Strong strategic thinking skills and communication skills
- Adeptness with leveraging data to help guide decision-making
- Project management skills to orchestrate teams and partners towards executing new initiatives
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively with potential business partners and organizations
- Strong sense of urgency and resourcefulness
