About the role:

Reporting to our Chief Strategy Officer, the Director of Strategy will be responsible for supporting OpenWeb’s long-term growth plans through partnership, acquisition, and new market penetration opportunities. This role will also drive key strategic initiatives such as long-term profitable growth through the creation of new revenue streams and new product offerings.

This will be a pivotal role, embedded into all aspects of the company and working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders such as Product, Engineering, Data, Marketing, Business Development, and Partner Success teams.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct competitive market research and analysis on the digital publishing and technology landscapes to identify new market penetration opportunities for OpenWeb’s technology platform
• Provide strategic support to the organization’s leadership
• Perform acquisition target identification, due diligence, and supporting other investment efforts
• Be responsible for the design, development, and execution of internal strategic initiatives, with a focus on product innovation, industry competitiveness, and business growth
• Be an internal driver of business performance by consistently making improvement recommendations based on market trends data and insights 
• Be the vector of organizational alignment by defining departmental goals, roadmaps, and processes

The Skills and Experience You Bring:

• Degree in business or related field, MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in management consulting and/or strategic planning roles and previous acquisition experience is a must
• Previous experience at successful Tech companies is a plus!
• Proven track record of formulating and executing organizational growth/expansion plans 
• Excellent understanding of business operations and processes
• Effective strategic thinker and communicator  
• Outstanding research, analytical, planning skills
• A business-driven leader with an entrepreneurial mindset
