ABOUT THE TEAM:

If the BARK experience is a theatrical production, the Logistics team is the wizard behind the curtain making sure all 1,000 things go according to plan and millions of dogs are happy. We're the people who get our product where it needs to go: from factory / manufacturer to our warehouse network, and then to our end customers by all the necessary means possible (TEU, LCL,small parcel, LTL, FTL). We are obsessed with logistics and relentless on performance, but we're not afraid to have fun! We like to think we're superheroes your dog doesn't even know about. No capes, but we type faster than you can fly and don't rest until pups are barking at the door in anticipation of BARK products landing on their doorstep.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: 

The Domestic Logistics Associate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day domestic logistics operation, managing hundreds of TLs as they move across the country and ensuring incoming inventory is delivered as needed and on-time. They must thrive in a fast-paced environment, with previous logistics experience. The role requires strong collaboration across multiple teams with excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task several time-sensitive projects at once.

KEY DUTIES:

  • Work with freight brokers/partners to effectively manage and ship all domestic inventory from manufacturer to BARK DCs + oversee and execute the transfer movement of goods between BARK DCs.  
  • Work with manufacturers, 3PLs, and internal teams to understand and meet needed deadlines. Ensure all deadlines are met, without fail. 
  • Manage the relationship and performance of Bark’s domestic freight partners. Ensure SOPs are executed correctly and SLAs are met
  • Track and trace loads for pick-up and delivery.  Maintain order and shipping information at all times.
  • Proactively manage and communicate transportation issues to internal teams. 
  • Ensure successful preparation and ingestion of shipment and receiving documentation;  Packing List, Manifest/ASN files, Receivers. 
  • Main POC for domestic receiving and inventory needs at 3PLs. 
  • Ensure shipments are prepared according to BARK’s Routing requirements and protocol followed.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years previous experience in a domestic logistics role
  • Exceptionally detailed oriented while juggling multiple deadlines  
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, hands on environment
  • Takes initiative and is a proactive problem solver.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
