Job description

Doorkee is the all-in-one rental platform that rewards Departing Tenants, Apartment Seekers and Landlords to work together so that moving is less expensive, more transparent and entirely rewarding. We believe that if you have to move, it should feel GREAT!

 

Off the heels of an exciting and affirming round of seed funding we are now live with our Beta and eager to welcome the right Customer Journey Guide to our NYC-based team. Your responsibility will be to shepherd Apartment Seekers and Departing Tenants through our process, whether they are seeking to register their current apartment to provide access to prospective future tenants, or to find and apply for their own next home through Doorkee’s platform. We’re looking for someone who balances tact, empathy, and persuasiveness to steer transactions to close on our platform. You’ll use methods like emails, texts, phone calls, and in-person events to educate customers about Doorkee’s benefits and processes.

Requirements

In this job, you will:

• Leverage empathy, strategic decision making, and various communication strategies and modes, as well as events, to educate, guide, and delight customers through the Doorkee process

• Use various tools and software to build a process and system to stay organized, respond to customers with lightning speed, troubleshoot issues, and keep customers on track

• Collaborate across the Doorkee team to recognize and recommend opportunities to improve our product, processes, and business

• Get everyone you connect with excited about the Doorkee model and eager to use our platform

 

You’ll be a great fit for this role if:

• You love teaching and guiding others through a new process

• You know the right communication strategy and methods to choose to effectively communicate with anyone, and you enjoy connecting with others virtually or via in-person events

• Organization and process are second-nature to you; you hate letting opportunities fall through the cracks

• You’re motivated by ambitious targets to hit personally and as a team

• You know how to spot opportunities for improvement in processes and customer experiences and take ownership to solve them

• You believe the future of the residential apartment rentals doesn’t include a broker

• You’re excited to join a young, fast moving startup that is continually iterating as we grow

• You thrive wearing multiple hats and can keep a lot of balls in the air
