At Venmo, we’ve created a product that people love, and we have no plans to stop there. We strive to create a delightful user experience while connecting the world and empowering people through payments. Fueled by healthy snacks, locally sourced cold brew, and each other, our team solves exciting, new challenges every single day. We are looking for intellectually curious people who want to be inspired and inspire others to continue to change the financial industry.

About the Role

As the Executive Assistant to our COO and Head of Product, you’ll be responsible for email and calendar management, recruiting coordination, meeting and event oversight, travel arrangements, and gatekeeping -- with the opportunity to grow and take on new responsibilities. This role is exciting, fast-paced, and provides the once in a lifetime opportunity to be intimately involved and engaged with all happenings at Venmo. You’ll work with individuals across Venmo, Braintree, and PayPal, and some outside the organization too. If you’re up for fully learning the Venmo business, thinking critically, being resourceful, and okay with last minute changes -- you’ll be a great fit for the role. Love for Venmo is a must!

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with leadership team, facilities, recruiting and other EAs across Venmo and PayPal to support the organization
  • Perform administrative tasks including: complex calendar management for internal and external meetings, onsite recruitment help, calendar gatekeeping, prioritizing and providing recommendations
  • Act as a liaison for direct reports
  • Under manager's mentorship, communicate on their behalf by email or Slack
  • Team expert and go-to person for general requests and questions -- keeper of all team resources

 Qualifications & Experiences

  • Experience with calendar management (ideally within Google Calendar) and travel arrangements
  • Proficient on a Mac and in Google Suites
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Organized, detail-oriented, motivated and able to handle multiple projects in a super fast-paced environment
  • Forward-looking thinker, resourceful and flexible, ability to work evenings and weekends here and there (not all the time, but every once in awhile!)
  • Complete projects and special assignments as requested and time allows
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills - ability to see fires before they happen and put them out when they do
  • Startup background preferred, previous experience as an Executive Assistant desirable
  • Passion for Venmo!

We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates. Please don't hesitate to apply.
